i-PRO contributes to the education of children, the bearers of the future.
■Lecture on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in a social studies class at Fukuoka City Sumiyoshi Elementary School (Japan)
i-PRO's R&D and manufacturing base is located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Since its establishment, we have been visiting Fukuoka City Sumiyoshi Elementary School to give classes as a contribution to the local community.
Our engineers visit the elementary school as guest lecturers to talk about how information and communication technology (ICT) is used in our daily lives and how it has brought about changes through the use of security cameras. The students deepen their understanding of the importance and risks of ICT by presenting what they have researched on ICT and by talking with engineers from the company.
The students responded favorably to the lecture, saying, “Listening to a business person actually talk about what we have studied so far made us realize what we have learned” and “It was fun”.
